Either PS4 or PC. I don't care. Just give us feature parity with games like Crysis 3. I'm talking about stuff like fluid movement.
Hell, the PS3 version could be the low-scale version, while PS4 and PC get expanded scope. And I really hope that the next version of the game will support Oculus Rift. And, if it's on PC, I want Joystick support for fighters and dropships and steering wheels for LAVs. |

PS4 doesn't change a bad user experience into a good one. Dust is F2P and the core features are definitely better than a CoD. Sure, it's not as good as good shooters - But how many people actually play good shooters? The advantage for DUST is that it's not a seasonal game. There aren't yearly iterations. And it doesn't even cost anything to start with. CCP just has to make clear that Aurum is not pay to win but pay to test gear and save some time.
Quote: Re: Moving to PC. Another deathwish, imo. In DUST we're going to be playing for big stakes and working for and spending other player's money. The botting and hacks that come with PC would prolly destroy any credibility the nullsec strategic geopolitical warfare had.
Why?
Because who is going to stage logistics, coordinate dirt & space side forces, arrange 24-hour rosters and commit resources that originated in the labour of corp/alliance mates and might represent hundreds or thousands of hours collectively.....when the outcome of big fights is decided by who has the best bots?
The question here is: How is hacking in EVE? I also wonder about hacking on PC, but this is not CCP's first online game. It's not like Crysis 3, where the first cheaters appeared two days into the beta because Crytek sucks at cheat prevention. But yeah, that's a big advantage of the console ecosystem.
Random thought of the day: A "Mechanic" game for Linux systems. Another EVE game, but it focuses purely on tinkering with hardware to an insanely fine-tuned degree, selling it and watching how other players use it to fight. Could double as balance laboratory for CCP. |

id never put much thought into it but i realise, crappy PS3 can hardly do 30 (if it does 30) and my new computer could do it at 500+ frames I hope you realize that PS3 is hardware from 2005. It's surprising that it even manages 30FPS. There's nothing crappy about that. I can guarantee you that your PC from 2005 would not be able to even get 10FPS on this game.
That's why PS4 would be so useful. |

Panther Alpha wrote:Wow... reading all this comments i can't help feeling that most of you don't really understand the PC world..Is a completely different community.
Not point to even try to explain why... just read this forums..... What is this "PC world" you are speaking of? You mean the "PC master race" faglords in their own little niche of the internet? Or do you mean the actual PC players who actually play video games instead of jerking of over their hardware of choice?
All my competitive experiences, as well as 99% of my total online playtime (Dust is in fact the only exception) have been on PC. I played RTS competitively, took part in modding efforts, participated in alphas and betas, beat various kinds of DRM schemes, own an expensive Logitech mouse and saw entire genres rise and fall. Am I part of the "PC world" according to your definition? Do you even have a point to make or did you just feel the urge to post?
The only thing that I know is different about the PC community, is the fact that those players aren't incredibly antagonistic when it comes to text chat. The aversion to the idea of even making text chat viable in this game, is an incredibly strange quirk. I really wonder if it's the same for other console FPS communities. |

I come asking for news about a possible PC release.. and i get this crap.. Protip: Use less ellipses. Your writing style lowers everyone's opinions of your posts. That's an honest tip, not an attack.
Yes, this community is ********. But if you want to see really bad online communities, you have to look at MOBA, which are PC games. I wouldn't touch those with a ten foot pole. Probably related to the incredibly low skill ceiling of those games. |

Can you clarify who you are arguing against? For the record, my post was in the same vein as your statement. |
